French scientists study: long-term obesity can reduce IQ

French scientists found that obesity will not only increase the risk of suffering from high blood pressure and other diseases, it will also reduce the IQ.
 

According to usual standards, body mass index (BMI) is equal to weight (kg) divided by height (in meters) squared, it is 18.5 to 25 is normal weight, 25 to 29 were overweight, 30 and over were obese.

 

French scientists are more than 2,200 32-year-old to 62-year-olds conducted a five-year intelligence tests. The results showed that, in the vocabulary tests, body mass index of 20 and below 56% of people can recall the vocabulary, while those 30 and above, body mass index, obesity could only recall 44% of the vocabulary.
