Haiti death toll from the earthquake may be as high as 100,000

Xinhua BEIJING, January 14, according to CNN reports, Haiti, Prime Minister Jean - Max Bellerive, (Jean-MaxBellerive) 13 said today earthquake death toll in Haiti may be as high as 10 million people.

Bellerive said in an interview, said the death toll caused by the earthquake may end up "greater than 10 million people", "I hope this is not true, because I hope they have the opportunity (from the ruins) out."

"But so many of the buildings and the district was completely destroyed earthquake, and in some quarters which we have not even seen deserted, I really do not know these people's situation."

Still unclear at present the specific post-earthquake casualties of civilians in Haiti.
